Welcome to Mrs. Franklin's Class
Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Franklin. If your are in one of my classes you have an interest in healthcare. A little background on me, I am a local Orange county native. I attended Lamar State College Orange completing my LVN certification. I worked in the healthcare field for eight years before realizing my true passion for teaching. In my classes we will learn about the different healthcare career opportunities available. West Orange Stark High School students will be able to attend dual credit courses with Lamar State College Orange, one example is the Basic Nursing course. Upon completion of the course and national registry students may obtain a job as a CNA. Characteristics expected from those in the healthcare field are compassion, empathy, dedication and critical thinking. If this is you be prepared for a life-long rewarding career.
My conference time is from 2:48-3:40, and my tutorial times are before school (7:45) Monday- Thursday by appointment. You can contact me by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by calling the front office 409.882.5570.
Information in each of my classes, as well as downloadable resources and handouts can be found on the links.
