My name is Madison Trahan. This is my first year in secondary education, and I couldn't be more excited to be at West Orange-Stark High School. I am currently in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with a minor in Education from the University of Houston. I received certifications in both conversational and traditional Spanish from El Instituto de la Lengua Española in Costa Rica, and the Spanish Language Institute in Honduras.
During my time living and studying in Central America, I was able to receive not only an ability to speak Spanish, but also many cultural experiences that I plan to integrate into my classroom this year. I want my students to receive a complete and well-rounded Spanish education, and it is my goal to have my students confident in both simple and complex Spanish conversations by the end of the year.
My main goal is to help my students succeed not only this year and in this season of their lives, but in every season to come. A strong foundation in Spanish will only make them more marketable, intelligent, and empathetic towards other cultures. These skills will help them in college and in the work-place.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at any time. I would love to hear from you.
Good luck this year, and go Mustangs!
