Course Description
Theatre Production is an upper level elective for students wishing to further their study of theatre in a more in-depth manner. As advanced theatre students, you will be given the opportunity to grow within your craft. Students will be placing into practice the previously learned acting skills and will learn the objectives needed to develop an aesthetic sense of direction.
 
Students can expect to learn the following objectives:
• Learning advanced acting techniques
• Practice in applying theatrical makeup
• Involvement in fundraising and advertising
• Creating props and costumes
• Program and operate both sound equipment and lighting equipment
• Analyze professional scripts and produce interpretations
• TWO theatrical productions
• UIL Participation (does NOT have to be theatre related, however theatre and speech-related participation is encouraged)
