Cosmetology
The cosmetology program offered at West Orange Stark High School gives students the
opportunity to work towards their career as a cosmetologist. The students will learn about hair,
skin, and nails. It is a program that requires 1000 hours and is regulated by TDLR (Texas
Department of Licensing & Regulation). The cosmetology program is also a dual credit, which
means they are earning college credits while working towards their cosmetology license. When
the student has completed the program their senior year they will take the state board written
and practical exam. Upon passing the state board exam the student will have their cosmetology
license and be ready to start their career.
